The first was on 22<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0January, where it was reduced from 3% to 2.75%. Second was on 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0March to 2.50%,\u00a0as a\u00a0&#8220;pre-emptive measure to secure the improving growth trajectory amid price stability&#8221;. Next, it was cut on 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0May 2020 to 2.00%. Then finally, on 7th July, it was reduced to the lowest ever rate at\u00a0<strong>1.75%<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong>There\u2019s also the announcement by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.propertyguru.com.my\/property-guides\/bank-negara-malaysia-loan-financing-deferment-covid-2020-24230\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BNM to have a moratorium<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0on all loan\/financing payment obligation (both the principal amount and the interest\/profit), for a period of 6 months (which ended on 30th Sept).<\/li><li>Finally, the government decided to\u00a0<strong>revise the statutory contribution rate for the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) from 11% to 7%<\/strong>. research that\u2019s necessary to determine which area and property type you should be targeting.<\/p><p>Based on data that\u2019s taken from the National Property Information Centre (Napic), terrace homes in city fringe areas have shown the least volatility since 2000.<\/p><p>However, undervalued high-rise projects that are located closer to the city seem to perform better, immediately following the crisis years.<\/p><p>This may be due to investors wanting to reshuffle their portfolios, and those who are venturing into property investment for the first time.<\/p><p>At the end of the day, we strongly advocate for a holistic approach to investing in properties.<\/p><p>This means that you shouldn\u2019t just be looking at the initial costs involved with acquiring an asset, you should also take into consideration the instalments and whether you can manage your daily living expenses as
